New planning of Long An international seaport
The Ministry of Transport has just sent document No.10092 to the National Assembly Delegation of Long An City to respond to the petition sent by voters before the 5th Session of the 15th National Assembly on Seaport Planning.
- In addition, the seaport system in the province will be invested in upgrading such as:
- Tan Tap route (Long An seaport) – Ben Luc – Duc Hoa
- Tan Tap route (Long An seaport) – Ben Luc – Moc Hoa
- Tan Tap route (Long An seaport) – Tan An – Duc Hoa
- Tan Tap route (Long An seaport) – Tan An – Moc Hoa
- Phuoc Dong route – Tan Kim and 11 branch routes
Long An international seaport not only enhances the province’s position and attracts investment, but also helps the fields of logistics and industry, especially industrial real estate in the area.
The wharves of Long An international seaport have been announced to be open by the Vietnam Maritime Administration in Deciddions: No.1453/QD-CHHVN (September 30th, 2026) and No.1364/QD-CHHVN (September 15th,2020).
According to the provisions of Articles 76 of the Vietnam Maritime Code, seaports have the following fuctions: providing support services for ships arriving and leaving the port; providing necessary facilities and human resources for ship to anchor, load and unload goods, pick up and drop off passengers; providing transportation. loading, unloading, warehousing and preservation of goods in the port.
According to the approved planning and regulations of maritime low. Long An international port – located in can Giuoc port area is allowed to receive domestic and foreign ships, to carry out cargo services in accordance with the approved and announced seaport planning specific tho the port.
